About Us

untitledDOON OXFORD SCHOOL was started in 2014 with the motive to provide quality education to rural children. The Managing Director, Mr. Inderjit Singh Dhami, belongs to Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and has started this school with a vision to provide good education at a nominal charge to students of rural areas. The school is located in Palam Vihar – Thakkarwal Road, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana.

Doon Oxford School is affiliated with the CBSE Board (Affiliation Number: 1631109). It is co-educational and dedicated to developing intellectual curiosity and personal growth in each individual through a strong curriculum.

In addition, the school has adopted the following list of goals: (a) to develop in students a strong sense of moral integrity as reflected through ethical and spiritual growth, while respecting the religious diversity of our country (b) to provide basic knowledge to the students by making their lessons more practical and interesting.

A relentless focus is placed by the school’s Principal on teaching and learning. The staff is well qualified and follows best teaching practices to educate and groom the students. Seminars and activities are regularly arranged for the students to instill in them social, cultural, moral and emotional values.

Presently, there are more than 300 students at Doon Oxford School. Our school offers students a warm and secure environment that is conducive to enriching learning experiences. Our teachers provide quality lessons that cater to each child as an individual. We promote and encourage the philosophy of lifelong learning.

The School offers Co-curricular activities like Sports, Art and Craft, Debates, Music, Dance and Poetry.  These activities help the students learn new skills and develop different facets of their personality, preparing them to face any situation in life. For all-round growth of the child, there is a need of emotional, physical, spiritual and moral development that is complemented and supplemented by co-curricular activities.

Co-curricular activities also help develop co-ordination, adjustment, speech fluency, extempore, expressions, etc. Such activities also ingrain in students ethical, civic, social, cultural and disciplinary values. There is no doubt that co-curricular activities are very important in students’ lives. That is why Doon Oxford School encourages its students to take part in co-curricular activities besides regular studies.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

  • OUR STUDENTS DON’T NEED TUITION – Doon Oxford School proactively works towards ensuring every child understands all that is being taught in classes. We have a special 50-minute class at the end of the day in which children can do their homework and seek guidance from teachers wherever they get stuck. Our teachers make sure the students are able to solve difficult mathematics problems and grasp complicated science concepts.
  • OUR CHILDREN ARE NOT OVER-BURDENED – We  make sure students are given homework for only 3 subjects daily. Thus there are no days when a child has homework from 5-6 subjects and no time to play in the evening.
  • WE VALUE PARENTS’ HARD-EARNED MONEY – We take only monthly fees and not quarterly or annually so that it’s easy to pay for all. There are no hidden charges either and children are not asked to bring money for any activities, books, stationary, etc. We also inform parents when their children don’t do homework so that they can take corrective steps at home as well.
